Students from Turbat University in Kech district, Balochistan, have achieved something extraordinary. They have developed a mobile app named “Shanakht” for the Kech district police.

This app gives instant access to suspects’ details, helping police catch fugitives and stop crimes fast. The students took only four months to complete the project. After finishing, they handed it over to the Kech Police.

SP Kech Praises the Effort

SP Rashid-ur-Rehman applauded the students’ hard work. He awarded them certificates for their innovation and dedication.

Sindh’s Talash App as an Example

In 2022, Sindh Police launched the “Talash App” to reduce crimes in Karachi. The app, introduced by IGP Ghulam Nabi Memon, used modern tools to improve policing.

Speaking at its launch, IGP Memon emphasized the importance of technology.

This app is a powerful weapon against street crimes and terrorism.
